The “Read MOR” book club that Erica McMillan, Director of Qualitative Services at Majority Opinion Research, started in 2007 for friends, clients and associates, continues with her 2009 selection and distribution of Anonyponymous: The Forgotten People Behind Everyday Words. The book is a collection of short essays that shares the whimsical stories behind many everyday terms, expressions and practices, from the Earl of Sandwich's invention of the meat-and-bread combination to Etienne de Silhouette's money-saving alternative to the portrait.

Upon announcing this year’s selection McMillan noted that “our business is uncovering and measuring opinions, so I thought “An Opinionated Dictionary” was a particularly appropriate choice for this year’s Read MOR club.” She added, “I also wanted a light fun read for our members and this fit the order.”
