Atlanta Residents are Worried About Crime; Think Taxes are Too High

An InsiderAdvantage / Majority Opinion Research poll finds that voters in the city of Atlanta are more concerned about crime than property taxes, but more than six out of ten feel that property taxes are too high in the city.

Property taxes:   33%
The Beltline:   10%
Affordable housing:   6%
Parks/Recreation:   4%
Fire protection:   1%
Don’t know:   6%

Q. How do you feel about property taxes in the city of Atlanta?

They are too high:   62%
They are just about right:   23%
They are too low:   4%
No opinion:   11%

The poll of 444 City of Atlanta voters was conducted on October 14th and was weighted by age, race, and gender. The poll has a maximum sampling error of +/- 4.6%.
