An InsiderAdvantage / Majority Opinion Research poll finds that South Carolinians are split in their approval or disapproval of Governor Mark Sanford and are also split on whether or not the legislature should impeach and remove him from office, but they lean toward believing he should resign.

The poll of 926 South Carolina registered voters was conducted on June 24, 2009 and was weighted by age, race, gender and political party affiliation. The poll has a maximum sampling error of +/- 3.1%.
