An InsiderAdvantage / Majority Opinion Research poll shows a majority of Americans oppose a government run healthcare program; do not trust the government to administer an efficient and effective healthcare program; and, believe there is currently significant waste in federal Medicaid and Medicare programs.

The poll of 636 registered voters was conducted on July 14, 2009 and was weighted by age, race, gender and political party affiliation. The poll has a maximum sampling error of +/- 3.8%.
