The Riding for Richie cycling team completed their inaugural ride on September 9th and 10th by participating in the MS 150 at Callaway Gardens. The team comprised of Erica Derr McMillan (captain), Jennifer Costa, Kyrce Culbertson, Chris McMillan, Jeff Shusterman, Catherine Todd, Blair Waldron, and Krysia Waldron raised more than $7,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, exceeding their goal by more than $2,000.
The team proudly rides in honor of Richard Derr who, along with Luba Derr and Rachel Derr, came out to support the team and staff the Majority Opinion Research corporate tent. Reflecting on the event, Richard said “it means a lot to me that my daughter, her company and her friends came together to ride and raise money for a very worthy cause.”
In addition to riding, Erica Derr McMillan, co-founder of Majority Opinion Research and Riding for Richie team captain, conducted a series of focus groups with other riders at the event to help the MS Society make next year’s ride even better. As the team looks forward to next year, Erica added “this is such a great cause and I anticipate that our team will grow and raise more money each year!” |
