An InsiderAdvantage / Majority Opinion Research poll conducted for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce asked Georgians a series of political and issue questions in advance of the 2008 legislative session. The following is a sample of findings from the poll:
Q. Would you say that Georgia is heading in the right direction or the wrong direction?
Right direction: 49%
Wrong direction 51%
Q. How much would you be willing to pay out of your household income to combat global warming?
Nothing 61%
Five percent 29%
Ten percent 6%
More than ten percent: 4%
Q. Do you personally know anyone who has been forced into foreclosure on their home in the last six months?
Yes: 10%
No: 75%
Don’t know: 15%
Q. Who do you believe is primarily responsible for dealing with Georgia’s illegal immigration problem?
Federal government: 55%
State government: 15%
Local government: 7%
Don’t know: 23%
The poll was conducted December 17 – 18, 2007. A total of 554 interviews were conducted. The results were weighted by age, race, gender and political affiliation. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4%. |
