Americans Split on Loans to Automakers

A poll conducted by Majority Opinion Research for Poll Position finds that Americans are basically split (45% favor; 47% oppose) on continued government loans or payments to U.S Automakers.

Favor: 45%
Oppose: 47%
No Opinion: 8%

While Americans are split overall, there are big differences by party. Nearly three out of four (73%) Democrats favor these loans compared to only 28% of Republicans and 26% of Independents.
